Meet Serena Gandhi

A passionate advocate for animal welfare and a student at Santa Clara High School, Serena orchestrates community initiatives that celebrate the human-animal bond, uniting people, pets, and organizations across the Bay Area. As youth team leader of Duo Duo Project and recipient of the prestigious Girl Scout Gold Award, she transforms her love for animals into impactful leadership through educational programs and community events, and through compassionate design projects like RunBun, custom wheelchairs that help injured rabbits all over the country regain mobility.

Building Change Through Action:
  •  Created research backed pet education programs

  • Developed the Empathy Unleashed eBook and workshop series

  • Led community events in Sunnyvale and San Francisco Union Square

  • Partnered with city officials and community leaders
